Your questions about neutrogena anti wrinkle cream

Betty asks…
Im 18 and I was wondering if its ok to use anti-wrinkle cream on my face,?
This is what I have and I was wondering if there would be a negative effect on my skin if I use since Im only 18. http://www.neutrogena.com/ProductsDetails_377.asp?lProductLineID=16

Girl Talk answers:
There’s no harm in it. The product you linked is actually really good for your skin, as it has broadspectrum sunblock in it, which PREVENTS the signs of aging. The only thing I’d be worried about is the thickness of the formula–anti-aging products are usually very greasy because they are designed for old people’s skin. At age 18, you probably have more problems with acne than dry skin.

Chris asks…
Under eye anti-wrinkle cream?
Is this supposed to burn when your skin when applied? I am using Neutrogena under eye serum and it burns after a while when I put it on. I am wondering cause my sister used some under eye cream from Aveeno and had the same effect. Anyone else experienced this and is it supposed to do that?

Girl Talk answers:
Yes, an effective anti-wrinkle cream can cause a burning sensation. This is very mild and tolerable. Your eye cream contains TRETINOIN or RETINOIC ACID. This is the ingredient which causes the burn. Tretinoin is very effective against wrinkles. Just continue using your eye cream, it’s working.

Sandra asks…
Which eye wrinkle cream is the best?
My mom has 3 different eye wrinkle creams and I am wondering which one will get rid of the wrinkles the best without irritating or drying out my eye. Also can I use more than one at the same time or is that too much for my eyes? Thanks! I might as well use one of these instead of buying another one. These are the three products( All from Neutrogena):
Neutrogena Ageless Restoratives Instant Eye Reviver
Neutrogena Ageless Intensives Lifting Treatment- Eye
Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Intensive Eye Cream

Girl Talk answers:
The last one, my friend had it it worked.

George asks…
will using more than one product help your skin?
My cousin uses alot of products for her skin, these are the products she says she uses.
She says she uses:
Neutrogena body wash
followed up with a Neutrogena anti-wrinkle/blemish cleanser
followed by a deep cleanser astringent
then a Neutrogena anti-wrinkle/blemish cream
cocoa butter lotion
and then Banana Boat Aloe after sun gel
she takes vitamin E pills as well as a multi-vitamin daily
She says she is trying to get rid of her acne on her back and the dark blemishes left behind after the acne is gone.
Are all these products going to help her or damage her skin worse?

Girl Talk answers:
Well, considering not all of the products are for just one area, it could be a good tag-team tactic. For instance, body wash is body wash, and using astringent and blemish cream isn’t really going to have any effect with that, as long as it’s a regular body wash. I’m also assuming that she uses the body wash on her body, and the anti-wrinkle/blemish cream on her face.
It sounds like she uses the cleanser, astringent, and cream on her face (and possibly the sun gel). For certain people this kind of regimin helps greatly, but that question can’t be answered the same way for everyone. I have fair, sensitive skin so if I did the same regimin, my skin might start getting irritated and flaky (which, when my skin flakes due to a dermatologist recommended cream, it’s expected) but with normal store-bought products without doctor recommendation you should be wary if you skin starts to peel or turn red with its use. Some people might get a simple kick out of the astringent, while others, like your cousin, has skin that’ll take multiple products well.
Acne on the back really IS a problem that is hard to knock out, so I have no problem believing that she does better with more than one product for that. Vitamin E pills are also just a known, good vitamin that helps heal skin, and she’s right about getting rid of the dark blemishes left by acne after a spot isn’t “infected” anymore – that’s what the Sun Gel is for. It’s especially important becaue when you have blemishes like that and then expose them to the sun, it can cause that spot to stay darkened. The “gel” aspect of it is to make it so that it doesn’t clog pores as much as a regular sunscreen or sunblock type of “cream” might do.
All in all, if she seems to be happy with what her regimin is doing, it’s probably totally fine! If she’s flaking and red all over, I’d call attention to it. But she’s cleansing well AND moisturizing well, which helps clean off the skin but also give back essential moisture after, plus she’s taking the time to use the sun gel which is ALWAYS a good thing for skin no matter where you’re using it, so I’d say she’s in good shape. The only thing I would change IF she was having redness or peeling from her products would be to take the astringent away – astringent is a pretty powerful cleanser and used already with her blemish cleanser, someone who doesn’t have as tolerable skin could probably make due without it, or at least with just using it on especially “dirty” areas of the face, like the nose and “t-zone”.

Lisa asks…
I am 30 and want to prevent wrinkles /have looking better skin?
I am 30 years old and people tell me that my skin looks good. I, on the other hand, do not like the lines under my eyes and the smile wrinkle that has just developed.
I used Neutrogena Anti Wrinkle cream and I like it. I wash with Neutrogena Deep Clean Scrub. That is pretty much all I do. I’m lazy…I only wash my face at night.
What are good products? I hate my skin and want to start taking care of it without spending a ton of money.
Thank you!
p.s. I don’t spend alot of time in the Sun

Girl Talk answers:
I’m not an expert but there are several ways that you can use to prevent wrinkles, start from natural approaches to an expensive surgical treatment. Natural approaches may involve drinking plenty of water, stop smoking, healthy diet, sleep sufficiently, tea bags, etc. Surgical methods can include injections and face lift. It is very long to explain each method, but I feel that this website may help you.
