Your questions about fine lines

Daniel asks…
Fine lines?
I’m only 12 years old but I have fine lines and dark circles under my eyes. What products do you suggest?

Girl Talk answers:
Getting older and displaying the signs of aging in the form of wrinkles and fine lines is inevitable. However, too many people make themselves prone to premature wrinkles, which occur way before its time. Learn how to keep your skin looking fresh and wrinkle-free for many years to come.
If you’re young, it is important to start warding off premature wrinkles now. Already experiencing wrinkles? Then it’s time to beef up your anti-aging skin care routine and use quality products made for your skin type that target wrinkles and fine lines.
The key to avoiding premature wrinkles is early prevention. You’re never too young to start a skin care routine! Preteens who love the sun do the most damage to their skin long-term so if you’re not using quality sunscreen with SPF, you’ll pay the price when you get older.
The key to sunscreen is reapplication! Follow the rule of thumb and reapply at least every two hours if you plan on being in the sun for a long period of time. If you’re playing sports, swimming or doing physical activity that will result in excessive sweating, you may want to reapply more often than every two hours. Buy sunscreen according to the activities you’ll be doing.

Mark asks…
fine lines…??
Hey…I’m only 18..but it feels like I’m already getting fine lines/wrinkles on my face. I know my face is really expressive when I talk and at it could just be part of that and I know that lines are a natural thing…but I don’t want my skin to look way older than I really am!! Are there any recommended skin treatments that are good for tightening the skin and getting rid of lines. Also..would anyone recommend going to the dermatologist about it..or is that really expensive?? Thanks for the help!

Girl Talk answers:
Hi there. Research your products! Most on the US market contain ingredients such as alcohol, wax, dyes, chemicals, fragrances, acetone, mineral oil, etc. that cause irritation and dryness. Those that contain mineral oil, the molecular structure of which is too large to penetrate the pores of your skin, sit on the top layer like saran wrap. Those products give a temporary feeling of softness and get wiped off over time having little to no benefit. You need a pure, water based product that will penetrate the dermis and deeply condition and hydrate your skin while providing you with the proper botanical ingredients to give you maximum benefit.
I’m 27 and love and live by Arbonne. Their revolutionary anti-aging system is specifically formulated to reduce the affects of sun damage, decrease fine lines and wrinkles, while it works to combat the visual signs of aging. The system consists of products that contain natural collagens, giving your skin a natural lift. They’re all botanically based, pure, safe, beneficial, hypoallergenic, dermatologist tested, formulated without the ingredients listed above. They’re unlike any others on the market with all 9 key anti-aging elements, giving you maximum benefit. Their products are also formulated with nanosphere technology which makes them beneficial for all skin types and adjusts to your skins specific needs by applying more moisture in dry areas and less is oily areas. This line consists of all 9 key anti-aging elements needed to formulate a beneficial anti-aging system. Research shows that 6 months continued use of this system will give a 68% decrease in DEEP density lines and wrinkles; however I started to notice results within a week or two. If you want a fountain of youth, this is it.
You’re smart to start early! They recommend starting in your early 20′s but this line is safe for all ages!
If you’re open to trying a free sample, I’ll be happy to send you one. Good luck.

Betty asks…
How can I reduce fine lines under my eyes?
I’m in my late 20s and I have developed fine lines under my eyes. No real puffiness, but I do have lines around my eyes and the beginnings of crowsfeet. I’ve tried sunscreen and I’m getting plenty of sleep. Is there anything else I can do?

Girl Talk answers:
use vasaline under your eyes before you go to sleep. its cheap and it really works!

Richard asks…
What is the difference between fine lines and wrinkles?
Can fine lines be considered lines that you can see for example on your forehead without raising your eyebrows or are they considered to be wrinkles? I know that this may seem like a silly question but I am just curious.

Girl Talk answers:
Lines, wrinkles – it’s just a case of degree. When not very pronounced they are usually described as fine lines. When more pronounced they are described as wrinkles. Many on answers, even very young ones, are always proclaiming they have very pronounced or deep wrinkles, creases, etc. But we know, don’t we, that it’s simply an exaggeration. I’ve just seen one question posted by a 14 y.o. that she considers she looks like a 40 year old.

Steven asks…
