Natural and organic skincare products offer people the chance to go beyond the skin-deep benefits offered by the celebrity-endorsed, chemical-infused, mass-marketed offerings found on the high-street, because natural and organic skincare products avoid the long list of dubious man made chemicals and parabens, meaning that when you use them on your skin you can be sure that you are pampering your whole body.

The organic, and slow, food movement has been born out of people’s concern and skepticism over food products that contain synthetic ingredients and chemical preservatives. Despite the fact that skincare products, which are, after all, just as intimate to the body as the food we eat (the skin absorbs the products we place on it), this desire to shun the synthetic in favour of the organic has taken longer to sink into the consciousness of skincare consumers.

Now sales of natural and organic skincare products are growing exponentially – and even the male demographic of the skincare industry, which accounts for $57 million of the overall cosmetic industry each year, is adapting to the shifting attitudes regarding what we rub into our skin and into our bodies.

For women skincare products are one aspect of our lifestyle that should be analysed and, if necessary, altered during the planning of a pregnancy.

A recent study by scientists at Edinburgh University has given women another reason to use organic and natural skin care products during their pregnancy. The researchers found that there might be a link between synthetic perfumes used in skin creams and the healthy development of the foetus.

The researchers found that the chemicals used to scent non organic and natural skincare products may have implications for healthy fertility levels of the foetus later on in life.

Talking to BBC Scotland (31st August 2008) one of the scientists responsible for the study, which was conducted on rats, said that, “There are lots of compounds in perfumes that we know in higher concentrations have the potential to have biological effects, so it is just being ultra safe to say that by avoiding using them your baby isn’t at risk.

”If you are planning to become pregnant you should change your lifestyle. Those lifestyle things don’t necessarily mean that you are going to cause terrible harm to your baby, but by avoiding them you are going to have a positive effect.

”We would recommend you avoid exposure to chemicals that are present in cosmetics, anything that you put on your body that might then get through your body into your developing baby.

”It is not because we have evidence that these chemicals categorically cause harm to babies, it is only based on experimental studies on animals that suggest it is a possibility.”

Despite this qualification mothers to be might still want to read the scientist’s findings in relation to the other information out there that suggests that the benefits of natural and organic skincare products are especially great during a pregnancy. Of course, natural and organic skincare products can smell nice without recourse to chemicals and synthetics – those that contain essential oils are especially good in this regard.

There was a time, not too long back, when it was not considered macho for men to be using skin care products. However, in modern times, it is quite acceptable by men as well as women to be using skin care products because men are equally aware about their skin requirements. Nowadays there is a plethora of beauty skin care products available for both men and women and for all possible skin types, soft, sensitive, rough, dry and even hypoallergenic products. So you will have no difficulty in finding a beauty skin care product which will suit your skin type, whether you are male or female and whatever your skin type may be.

What Kind Of Skin Type Do You Have?

If you do not know what type of skin type you have, you should find out. If your skin feels constantly oily, even a little while after you have washed it, you will know that you have oily skin and so you do not want to use a beauty skin care product which is oil based. If you do, you might just break out with pimples or acne. You will require something which will reduce the oiliness of your skin. On the other hand, if you have a dry skin, you will need a beauty skin care product which will replenish the moisture in your skin and help keep it supple and soft. If you have normal skin you should use a beauty skin care product for normal skin. There are also beauty skin care products which have herbs in them or those which are fragrance free for sensitive skins.

Seek Help

If you are still confused as to what skin type you have you can check out at your nearest department store or supermarket which has a cosmetic counter. Most people manning these counters or sections know about beauty skin care products and they usually have a wide range of products to choose from. They can guide you after checking your skin type. Most beauty skin care products of good quality are not cheap, so you don’t want to buy something which will not suit your skin type. Alternatively, you can even check out at any beauty or skin care salon that you visit – the staff there will be able to help explain what your skin type is and what health and beauty skin care product you should use.

A Dermatologist Can Guide You

In case you have already been through the above steps are still not satisfied with the results, it would be best to seek the advice of a beauty skin care specialist, a dermatologist who is a medical expert. If you have never been to one then ask your doctor to refer you to one. It is worth spending the money on a dermatologist who will guide you as to your skin type and the best health beauty skin care product which will be ideal for your skin. Beauty may not just be skin deep, but it pays in the long run to take care of your skin and use a good beauty skin care product.

For too long, the concept of “men skin care products” has been placed on the back burner. For most men, other things just seem to crowd out the idea of “skin care”. The idea of natural skin care for men seems almost sissy. Au contraire mon frere! A face-full of healthy skin is a commodity you can’t afford to waste.

So here’s what I’ll do for you. You can read this article, and get practical how-to advice about men skin care products and no one will know! It will be our little secret.

Close the Sale

Most men have this mistaken idea that men skin care products consist solely of soap, shaving cream, and some aftershave or cologne. The phrase “skincare” conjurs up images of women with cucumber eyes, trying to keep their skin feeling soft and pretty. But what man really cares about “soft and pretty” skin?

But I know a lot of men who care about first impressions. They care about being able to close a high-end sale, or confidently lead a group of associates, or give killer-presentations. They care about RESPECT. And respect is harder to attain when you look like your 14, but your really pushing 40. And those little red dots sprinkled on your face and neck certainly don’t help your case.

Believe it or not, but a good skin care regimen is actually more important for a man than it is a woman. Women don’t regularly take a sharp blade and scrape it across their cheeks, chin, and neck. That constant irritation can make skin itchy, red and irritated. Throwing on those alcohol-based aftershaves and colognes afterwards can make things even worse.

Talk about a solid return on investment! That 30 seconds you take in the morning and evening to properly care for your manly man skin will pay you dividends on your overall health, and your ability to “wow” at those first oh-so-important impressions.

A man with a healthy, young-looking complexion (but with an experienced face) is going to feel more confident about that getting promotion, or delivering that effective sales-speak to potential customers. Give yourself an emotional and physical edge on your competitors.

Go Below the Radar

Although they are an absolute necessity in order to nurse razor-burned and irritated skin back to health, high-quality men skin care products are very difficult to find. I say “high-quality” because most of the men skin care products being offered are not specifically designed for the unique needs that a man has.

You might as well be putting cucumbers on your eyes too…because your getting the woman’s formula in a new package. If there are any changes at all, it’s most likely just a new scent. At least they’re smart enough to figure out that YOU don’t want to smell like lavender.

If, by some miracle, the products were different, I would still not recommend that you use them. Why? Because they are full of chemicals and petroleum-by products that don’t help your skin, and are even worse for your total body’s health.

You need natural skin care for men. You need men skin care products that contain healthy ingredients to effectively soothe, and moisturize your skin, nullifying the effects of daily shaving.

What are the ingredients you should look for in your natural skin care for men products? Brazilian Babassu wax (as opposed to cancer-giving paraffin), and witch hazel. Both of these act to relieve both the razor burn that you have and the dryness and itching.

Natural skin care for men should always include these two ingredients, the witch hazel especially. Look for naturally processed witch hazel, not synthetically re-created.

You should also be on the lookout for Capuacu butter as an ingredient, because it is also especially good at treating dry, itchy, inflamed skin. It has even been proven powerful enough to be helpful in healing eczema.

As a rule, if the product you’re using isn’t produced by a company that includes all-natural ingredients as part of their mission statement, move on. Go below the radar, and use natural skin care for men products from companies who are smaller in scope.

In my experience, if the huge mega-skin care companies would spend just half of their marketing budget on research and development, their products would be infinitely higher-quality.

Your Bottom Line

In this economy, it’s important to make the best impressions on your customers, boss, and coworkers. Everyone’s skin (including mine) could use something. If you don’t eat healthy foods, your body will remain unhealthy. If you don’t use men skin care products that are healthy, your skin will remain blotchy, irritated, and wrinkled.

Taking 1 minute a day to attend to your skin’s needs is an incredibly simple way to boost your confidence, and maybe even your bottom line. To see the specific ingredients you should look for in your natural skin care for men products (including more details on the ones I’ve already mentioned), and where to find them, visit my website hyperlinked below.

I really need some good tips to get rid of and prevent acne! Please help me out!

I am looking for a good skin care product?

I am looking for a good skin care treatment to reduce wrinkles and my dark eye circles. Does anybody know of a good one out there? I have been searching but there are hundred of products
and they all claim to be excellent. Any suggestions?

I’m starting a new skin care routine in the morning.
What is your routine and what products do you use?

I’m looking for a cleanser, toner, moisturizer, exfoliator, mask to all have on hand. Thank you :)

I am working on a research project about skin and I really need magazine articles to turn in with my project, and I am having trouble finding good articles. I am really trying to find some on skin care but if it has to do with anything else about skin, I am really interested. I would really like magazines that are more serious, not like seventeen or cosmo girl, maybe some more serious magazines that talk about skin care or anything having to do with skin.

I have recently turned 43 and noticed a few more lines cropping up on my face. I would like to make my own skin care with both kitchen ingredients and advanced ingredients that are showing some promise like matryxl, etc…

I have used several different acne products, and the one I’m using now (Clean and Clear Advantage) works okay, but I still don’t have acne free skin. I can deal with the occasional pimple, but I take very good care of my skin, i.e. washing morning and night, not touching my face unless washing, wearing makeup only when I have to…etc. so I should see better results that I’m getting. Any recommendations?

Also, I’m currently trying out Neutrogena’s: The Wave. Good idea?
