Just before we talk about about the life cycle of lice, we need to know first what head lice is. Head lice which are tiny, pests which cannot fly. The adult head lice are same in size with a plant seed. Because they are vunerable to low temperatures, they stay on human hair, near to the base, keeping close to the warmth of our heads and close to their source of food – our blood! Around three million people in the UK catch nits and hair lice each year – and they are really frequent amongst school youngsters. It’s because youngsters tend to play close together and often their heads can touch. Your kid’s hair might be long, short, straight, curly, light, dark, clean or dirty – they are not particular where they live.

As they nourish, head lice may cause your child’s scalp to itch. The good news is, with natural reliable solutions getting rid of them, it only take a ten minute therapy!

Important ways to eliminate nits and lice would be to break the nit and head lice life cycle.
It is helpful to have a guideline to enable you to comprehend the life cycle is the key to removing nits and head lice infestations. Here’s the life cycle:
The life cycle begins with the fully developed female laying eggs on the hair shaft, she uses a strong adhesive to fix the egg (nit) in place.
The eggs hatch within around 7 days and 2 days later it gets to the ‘First Nymph’ stage. It is at this time that the nymph first sheds

It is skin and it’s usually when the discarded white skins turn out to be noticeable in children’s hair.

The ‘Second Nymph’ Stage takes place approximately 3 days later and once more the nymph sheds it is skin leaving more tell-tale signs of the presence of nits in the hair.

The Third Nymph Stage – 5 to 6 days afterwards this is the last time the lice sheds its skin before becoming an adult. The larger female adults begin to breed and can be expected to lay their first eggs 2 days right after mating. The highly fertile females can lay anything up to 6 to 8 eggs each day in the next 16 days! So it is not surprising that just 1 or 2 plagued heads in a class could rapidly grow to be an outbreak! That is 33 to 35 days later the adult head lice die.

Head lice are really powerful in reproducing themselves so whenever lice are found it’s ideal to do this immediately and thus preventing any life cycle of lice.
