Different Phrases Using “Cute” in Korean
The term “cute” is normally used to mean several things in Korea. It is usually employed to describe little or attractive persons or things. When one says she spotted a cute small bear, the word “cute” is used in this sense. An additional usage of cute that is not related at all to how large but instead is for describing an individual’s beauty, appeal or attractiveness. For example, you may pertain to someone with a beautiful smile as being “cute.”
In Korean, whenever the terminology “cute” is employed to describe something or a person, the term “guiyuhwoon” is used. To express “really cute”, use “Jungmal guiyuhwoon.” The following are a few sample expressions using the term “cute” that will aid one understand more its use. “Guiyuhwoon ai” means “a cute kid” in Korean. If you would like to express “a cute buddy” the Korean expression “guiyuhwoon chingu” may be used. When you see a cute baby, you may say “guiyuhwoon agi.” If you like dogs which are only a couple of months old, you could say “a cute and adorable doggy” in Korean as “guiyuhpgo sarangsurun gangaji.”
The words pertaining to cute may be used in complete sentences. Here are several examples. To say, “There’s a cute child.” in Korean we may say “Guiyuhwoon aiga itda.” If you wish to say “…. is really a cute buddy,” you can say “…..-neun jungmal guiyuhwoon chingu-ida.” An extra example is the sentence “A cute baby is crying” which in Korean is “Guiyuhwoon agiga unda.”
Now, let’s look at the usage of the word “cute” when referring to a person who is beautiful. The Korean phrase for “a cute woman” is “guiyuhwoon yuhja.” The Korean term for “a cute girl” is the same phrase. To say “a cute guy” the phrase “guiyuhwoon namja” can be employed. If you want to refer to a cute couple, the right expression is “guiyuhwoon couple.”
Knowing vocabulary and fundamental phrases can be valuable when making easy sentences. The sentence “That woman is cute” translates to “Juh yuhja guiyupda.” Alternatively, whenever saying, “The man’s way of speech is cute” the translation in Korean is “Juh Namja Maltuga Guiyupda.” The sentence “You dance adorably” when translated to Korean is “Nuneun Choomeul Guiyupge Choonda.”
You can find also many words in Korean that are more or less similar to the term “cute.” For instance, “meryuhkjuhk-in” is the word for “attractive.” While the word “angjeungmazeun” is the Korean word for “adorable” or “tiny.” Thus, you can say “A teddy bear is adorable” as “Gom Inhyung-eun Angjeungmatda.” “Sarangsuruhwoon” is the Korean word for “lovable.” And finally, “ahgijagihan” is the term “charming.” And saying “Neh Bang-eun Ahgijagihada” means “My place is charmingly decorated.”
The term “cute” is a very valuable word that individuals who want to learn Korean should learn. The term can be useful when doing small talk or when the need arises to complement a person or whenever it is necessary to remark about how good something is.
