Linda asks…

Stretch Marks!!!!!!!!!?!?!?!?!?!?

I hav stretch marks
legs
stomach
front on the stomach
boobs
arms
sholders
and the back of my shoulders

i know “every women has them” But Im only 13 and i fell like i canst wear the clothes i want becasue of them. Do any other people have them and if so how do u get rid of them or cover them up?

Girl Talk answers:

I`m 15, and have had them for a while now. I use bio-oil, which you can get from most chemists or shops like boots, its abit expensive, but worth it if you feel this self conscious. Just use it morning and night and rub it in circular motions on the areas you get stretch marks. The good thing is most of those stretch marks mean you are growing, and may get better by themselves within the next couple of years. Most girls our age get them :)

Donald asks…

How to cover stretch marks on legs?

So this school year I’ve been wearing high waisted skirts, dresses etc. But my legs have stretch marks on them, well not like very noticeable unless your looking for them but it makes me very self conscious. how can i cover them up? I’ve already tried cover up but i think that’ll be my only option?

Girl Talk answers:

You could tan, i don’t recommend this though. Im not a fan of fake baking, its really unattractive in my opinion.
Or you could try tanning lotion that is lightly tinted.

Or you could try to get rid of them faster and prevent getting more by using cocoa butter on them.

I hate stretch marks i have them on my legs too.

Maria asks…

14 year old girl having RED stretch marks on legs? :( ?

I am not thin, i have small frame and big legs. I am trying EVERY thing to shrink this cursed legs of mine and I stretched my legs and dunno if it has anything to do with my stretch marks, I suddenly have them the next day (didnt really notice until I took a showern the next day) this is so depressing since aside from having FAT legs, I now have FAT AND ICKY YUCKY STRETCH MARKED LEGS. I will try bio oil.

does having RED stretch marks still is treatable? I mean just to fade it…….what products can I use :(

p.s. they’re at the back of my calves

Girl Talk answers:

Keep using bath oils and lotions often. Bio Oil is good. In fact all oils are good (rose hip, vit E oil etc…). On top of that there is nothing much you can do to be honnest.

Girl Talk answers:

Its completelty normal, i’ve seen girls younger than 14 and that are thin have stretch marks. What you can do is buy cocoa butter. It works really well by toning your skin tone and making it all one color, your natural color. The stretch marks will disappear and you will notice it plus it make your skin very soft. I think you can find it at like family dollars or walmart or stuff like that. Good Luck

Charles asks…

Girl Talk answers:

Lizzie asks…

I’ve read that Australia has some of the strictest regulations for sunscreen in the world?

Okay — first let me apologize if this is a stupid or insignificant question. I’ve read about Australia’s strict regulations for sunscreen — much stricter than here in the US, and I’m on a quest to find a sunscreen for myself where I will not get ANY color on my face (color = skin damage). I’m paranoid of wrinkles and have avoided the sun since I’ve been 24, so I do look younger…but this summer I’m going to be riding my mountain bike a lot, so I need serious SPF protection (preferably fragrance-free, very non-shiny and non-greasy, broad-spectrum — it’s the UVA rays that age us).

Frankly, the sunscreens we have here — at least the ones I’ve tried — have been crap! They burn my eyes when I sweat and my pale face still sometimes gets color. The other day I saw a Neutrogena product with an SPF of 100! The thing is, the Neutrogena SPF 55 product I’ve tried said it was sweatproof but there I was, sweating, sunscreen chemicals running into my eyes, and my eyes stinging like crazy!! It’s as if the FDA, which is supposed to regulate things like this, isn’t doing its job and allowing the manufacturers to claim things that aren’t true (sweatproof, non-greasy, non-shiny, etc.).

Okay — now my question: I’ve read online that the brand Blue Lizard is an Aussie sunscreen and is available here in the US. Has anyone tried it? Is it truly an Aussie sunscreen or just some gimmick? Do you know of other brands I should try that perhaps may be available in the US (I guess it’s hard for you to know what’s available in the US if you’re not here, but thought I’d ask).

And finally, what do YOU use as your sunscreen? (For daily use, I use my Neutrogena anti-wrinkle cream, which has SPF 20, but as I said I need serious SPF protection now that I’ll be outside more and don’t want wrinkles.)

Anyway, I apologize, I know this is an odd question, but since Australia has strict standards when it comes to sunscreens, I thought I would ask here. (The people in Yahoo Answers “Skin” section were no help at all.)

Thanks!!

Girl Talk answers:

I don’t know if our regulations are the strictest in the world, but I do know that our labelling of sunscreens is stricter than in other places. That’s why the highest SPF rating you can get here is SPF30. That’s because it’s apparently impossible to measure anything above that and any higher stated factor is misleading. When an Australian sunscreen says it’s SPF30, you can be sure that it really is at least that and may even be higher.

I’ve never heard of Blue Lizard so it probably isn’t really from Australia.

Look into a new type of sunscreen called ZO1 Invisible Zinc. Zinc cream has long been the sunscreen of choice here for sportspeople and surfers as it is a total blockout, but it looks pretty strange being opaque white or flouro colours. This new product won the “Best New Beauty Product in the world for 2006″ award and is what its name suggests – a product that provides the protection of zinc cream but without the strange look. I don’t know anything about its sweat free properties but it should be worth a try and you should be able to get it in the States.

Michael asks…

Can you overdose from beauty products?

Lots of chemicals are absorbed thru the skin I heard. There was that 17-year-old girl who had excess methyl salicilate in her blood from using a topical cream called Bengay. She also used oral stuff that contained the chemical.
I wonder if using lots of beauty products could do the same thing. I’m currently using a Neutrogena anti-wrinkle cream with spf 15, an eye cream with similar ingredients, also a toner and a cream cleanser. I also wear foundation, powder and lip balm consistently. Then I also take birth control and iron pills. It seems like i’m accumulating chemicals in my body.

Does this concern make sense at all?

Girl Talk answers:

Yes it makes sense. Some people only put things on their skin that would be safe to eat. Either way, it ends up in the blood stream. Some products are unsafe to the skin and some are unsafe to have in your blood. We each have to make those decisions along with many others every day. Like, eating foods loaded with preservatives, hormones, antibiotics, steroids, pesticides. You could go off the deep end either way. I say moderation.

John asks…

Which one should I get to get rid of blemishes? (Neutrogena vs. Aveda)?

My mom asked me to buy something online that gets rid of blemishes & discoloration of the skin. I found these two different products. I was wondering what you guys think b/c I can’t get both and I can’t decide.

Girl Talk answers:

What a nice daughter you are!! Good on you !

Seriously, my opinion of all these types of products whether they are said to contain “Natural or herbal” ingredients is that they are just robbing us blind cos we can heal most of that which we ail from simply by increasing our intake of fresh fruit and vegies in our diet. Get your mum to increase her intake of food rich in Vitamin A, Vitamin C and Vitamin E and she will be well on the road to clear fresh healthy skin.

Vitamin A – carrotts, pumpkin, potatoes, cantaloupe
Vitamin C – oranges, lemons, capsicum and potatoes
Vitamin E – green leafy vegies, spinach broccoli and kale and nuts and seeds.

Believe it or not, the power of fresh clean living foods will far outweigh any cream potion or lotion that you will fork out likely too much cash for anyways. Increase your intake of fresh filtered water too. Make sure you include things like pumpkin soup and mashed potatoes and steamed green vegies and loads of fruit salad in two meals per day and just look at the difference in one short week.

No matter what potion or lotion you buy, if you are deficient in vitamin A you will never have clear and fresh skin.

As far as vitamin C goes, it’s so important to have in your diet cos vitamin C are basically the little soldiers that give up their lives for all the free radicals that assault our bodies on a daily basis ……. Be it through poor diet, stress, pollution, smoking, drinking …………………. When you have plenty of vitamin C in your bodies your skin will take on a fresher, healthier looking glow too. Try drinking a tea called Rose Hips Tea. Rose Hips tea is actually made from the hips of the flower the rose and is the richest know source of vitamin c and tastes totally delicious to boot.

With vitamin E, found in all your salads and green leafy vegies, it simply helps the cells in our bodies to stay hydrated and we all want that now don’t we!!

CHEERS

GOOD LUCK

***EDIT****

Oops!! Sorry, nearly forgot!!

Mix a pinch of baking soda with some of your usual facial cleanser ie: Cetaphyl and mix into a paste. Massage onto your face concentrating on problem areas and then simply wash off with a warm cloth.

Marvellous!!

Robert asks…

What’s a good body cream I could use?

I have VERY dry skin on my legs and I need a really good moisturizing lotion…I am currently using Nivea for very dry skin but it isn’t doing a good job and I am getting spots from it. Have used Nivea that is anti-wrinkle, it was ok….Is the Neutrogena body cream good? What do you think I should use?

Girl Talk answers:

I have the same problem. I’d use Cocoa butter cream. You could probably find it in a department store like shopper’s drugmart. It works for me. Anything that contains Vitamin E helps. You could also try Vaseline extra strength moisturizing cream. Don’t use anything heavly perfumed it irritates skin.

Susan asks…

What does your skin care regimen consist of?

Being gay, I think we take better care of our skin than our straight counterparts do. What do you use?

For years I’ve used Neutrogena cleanser (either the Deep Clean or the Pore Refining Cleaner). Recently I purchased a cheaper cleanser — St. Ives Apricot Scrub Renew & Firm. I like it okay, though I miss my Neutrogena.

Then during the day I use Neutrogena Anti-Wrinkle Intensive Deep Wrinkle cream with SPF 20.

At night I use Neutrogena Advanced Solutions Nightly Renewal Cream, though I’m thinking of changing to the nighttime version of the Deep Wrinkle after this tube is empty.

Any thoughts? Anything better at combating wrinkles that I could be using? I have no wrinkles yet and I avoid the sun like the plague (the sun will AGE YOU like nothing else), but I’m open to suggestions! :-)

Girl Talk answers:

You are right but don’t forget the metro sexual side of that story,,,,I use the normaderm products from Vichy and also the Homme series of products from them,,,,also a great day cream is from Yves Rocher,,,,to be clear, I don’t have wrinkels, I mean, have you seen a 18 year old with wrinkles,,, I haven’t,,,,,you should try day creams from Vichy from the series Homme,,,,I know people with wrinkles , and they solved the problem,,,good luck.

what is the best anti wrinkle cream out there ?

i am trying to prevent myself from getting those much hated wrinkles lol…. so i have started using nivea Q10 anti wrinkle cream & lucura facial cream as well as garnier some roll on caffeine eye stuff lol…

but i just wanted to know what is the best inexpensive anti wrinkle cream & eye cream out there that you would recommend in preventing wrinkles & bags under eyes

Girl Talk answers:

The Nivea one your using is a good one, also Olay regenerist is a good one too. I don’t know if you have a Aldi store where you live, but in the UK Aldi is a budget supermarket and their Lacura Radiance moisturising cream is £3.99 and has been voted the best wrinkle cream in loads of magazines beating the Boots Repair and Protect that costs about £20.

William asks…

What is best anti wrinkle cream for younger woman?

Tell me, how to protect my skin wrinkle so fast? There are so many choice. Which one?

Girl Talk answers:

The best is made by Lancome. If you want eye cream, you can go with Renergie or Resolution Yeux. If you want a good face cream these both come in that formula too. They make an amazing difference, you’ll see a change for the better even if you don’t have wrinkles yet. I love this stuff.

Related article on them and how to combine them below.

George asks…

What is the best anti-wrinkle cream?

I am 24, so my wrinkles arent horrible, but I do notice my face is just looking dull….and older. I am looking for the best wrinkle-filler. It would also be nice if the product just made my face brighter, and fresher. Hope that made sense.

What products do you use, and why do you like them? Also, price doesnt matter. I’d rather pay a litte more for a product that actually works, if I have to.

Girl Talk answers:

Olay has great anti aging skin care is good to prevent wrinkles at a early age.

Donald asks…

What is THE BEST anti-wrinkle cream on that market that is fairly affordable?

I’m talking about buying something at like Macy’s, or Lord & Taylor, they all claim to be “the best“, but anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Girl Talk answers:

I think you should do some research, read the reviews and success stories carefully to see what’s working for other people.

You should check out this blog story, this 46 year old lady combined two products with pretty good success http://paulaskincare.blogspot.com/

Good luck :)

Maria asks…

Is it ever too early to start using anti-aging creams?

I’m seventeen and I saw this anti-aging serum from Number 7 that had great reviews and I was wondering if I should start using it. I heard somewhere that it is never too early to start using anti-aging creams to maintain healthy skin.

Another question, if I use moisturizers, serums, day creams, night creams, eye creams, will that damage my face? Will I damage my skin with the overuse of serums to make me look older?
What is a healthy skin regime for beautiful, healthy, glowing skin?

Girl Talk answers:

Elizabeth, to answer your specific question of healthy skin regimen, this is what I use & do: I start off with a mild facial cleanser like Olay foaming. Second I use an eye cream Extreme Eye Rescue, I apply it twice daily. For fine lines I use Preve. Again I apply twice daily in the morning after washing my face and at night after I shower. Both products are from Isabella Pelle. This is what has given me excellent results and I’m 25 hope this helps.
You are never too young to start taking care of your skin.

Joseph asks…

Does using anti-aging creams at a very young age prevent or cause wrinkles?

im 15 and i want to use anti aging cream to prevent future wrinkles

will this harm my skin or acutally prevent?

or will my skin become dependent on these creams so when i stop using them it will harm my skin?

Girl Talk answers:

They will not harm your skin and no they will not be dependent on them.

And i disagree with the other answerer, i believe it’s better to prevent than cure! I started using anti-wrinkle eye creams at age 16 and i wear sunscreen now religiously. (i’m still in my teens)

Jenny asks…

Is it true that you should wear anti aging creams before you get wrinkles?

I’ve heard that the way to prevent wrinkles is to use anti- aging products when you’re young. Any truth?

Girl Talk answers:

The way to prevent wrinkles is taking care of your skin.
Don’t wear pounds of makeup, and wear sunscreen when you go outside, even in the winter because there are still harmful rays being put out.

You do not need products. Just take care of your skin, k? Thanks.

Daniel asks…

what age should i start putting on anti-aging creams?:?

i’m 20, isn’t that too early to apply anti-aging creams such as olay, etc? and undereye creams, what age do i start applying them too? just being conscious.. i don’t want to look like i’m tired everyday, since i’m a nursing student and i don’t get that much sleep. thanks!

Girl Talk answers:

If you’re not that much willing to use Cosmetics due to any concern you have. I would like to favor you to have high Vitamin E diet since it is a good anti-oxidant. It is valuable for you to know that sun exposure is the main cause of wrinkles appearance so I advice you to use your wit to manage this issue.

Donald asks…

Do anti aging creams really work?

Do anti-aging creams such as anti wrinkles really work?

Girl Talk answers:

It’s a combination of both a partial reality and illusions. With the majority of skin products it is definitely an illusion as most women over thirty would attest to. Many products can certainly make your skin look better at the time of application but the real test is when all the make up is washed off.

Donald asks…

What causes some people to look younger than their actual age?

I look at least 2-4 years younger than my age and in my early twenties. My father looked older when he was my age and my mother looked the same age, how is this caused?

Girl Talk answers:

Genetics. My mother always looked younger than her actual age. I got carded when I was 25 because all the cashiers thought I looked 15, they couldn’t believe it.

Donna asks…

Will I begin to look younger if I stop smoking?

I’m planning on stopping smoking very soon for the benefit of my health, but I’ve been told that stopping smoking will also make me look younger. Is that true & how come that happens?

Girl Talk answers:

Yes, you will definitely look younger If you stop smoking.

Smokers have lower levels of antioxidants in their blood than those that don’t smoke. Antioxidants in our body help in repairing damaged cells that make our skin look younger.

Michael asks…

What are the best ways to look younger without surgery?

Ok so I’m 26 but ive heard a lot of different people say i dont look any younger than 30…a lot have actually said mid 30′s. This has really started to get to me and i need some advice on how to make my face look younger without surgery or anything. I will pay for any sort of products from the store if i need to.

Please help! I want to look like I’m 25!

Girl Talk answers:

You should start with getting 8 or more hours of sleep every night and eating a healthy diet. Your diet should be following the food pyramid which you can easily find on line.

You should drink 4 to 8 glasses of water daily as this will plump up your cells and flush out waste.

Try AHAs (alpha-hydroxy acids) or Beta-hydroxy( salicylates). These brighten the skin by removing the upper skin cells.

Stop smoking if you smoke as this is known to age skin and increase wrinkles.

Reduce stress.

Use a moisturizer.

And don’t forget make up. A little can go along way to hide imperfections. Read up on which ones might work best for you and how to apply them. Concealer can make you look better if you have dark circles under your eyes.

Good luck and smile. A smile always makes you look better.

Lisa asks…

How come people look younger than their age?

I’m 16, but every one at school thinks I’m fourteen… Is this normal?
My old friends even tells me that my face looks exactly the same as when I was in junior high or even younger. Will my face ever change in the future to make me look older?

Girl Talk answers:

It probably wont. And dont worry about it its a good thing. Im 22 but i dont look like im a day over 18. Just think of it when your 40 youll look like your not a day over 30 or maybe even younger

Thomas asks…

What product have you used that really helped you to look and feel younger?

It could be a temporoary fix or a face cream or a vitamin or anything. I like trivita B12 B6 folic acid,it makes me feel younger with more energy. I like sally hansen lip inflation it makes my lips look younger.

Girl Talk answers:

Thats hand sanitizer purell clears my acne and keeps my face smooth and clean

Betty asks…

wrinkle creams?

Can anyone tell me what is the best wrinkle cream out there? I’m only 22, and no I’m not being vain… I work with 2 toddlers as a nanny, and lately I’ve noticed quite a few more wrinkles on my face than a 22 year old should have. Also more gray hairs, but I fix that already. I looked on some of the creams and they say about age 30 or 40, so I thought I’d ask people first before buying something. I’m in pretty good health, exercise regularly, don’t smoke or drink excessively… Don’t know if that makes a difference or not…

Girl Talk answers:

Hey, its not what ya wanna hear but…. It has been proven there is no wrinkle cream on the market that does the jobs it states on the bottle…..scientists have tried and tested these creams and not one of them stood the test of time, the best thing for you to do is not waste your money on exspensive creams and moisturise daily, eat healthy stay fit, and make sure your body has the vitamins its needs daily.

Chris asks…

Wrinkle Creams?

Can anyone recommend a really good wrinkle cream? I’ve tried dozens of products and find they’re all pretty much the same. Price does not matter, as long as it works. Any suggestions?

Girl Talk answers:

I have been using Elizabeth Grant products for about 5 years and I am 55 and I don’t have one wrinkle on my face – honestly and it evens out my skin tone.
They are expensive, but when she comes to the shopping channel you can get some good deals.
Here is her website:

and here is the Shopping Channel website. She was just there on Jan 27/28 so I am not sure when she will be back again

I swear by it. Everyone says that I look 10 years younger than I really am. I love those compliments.
Good luck

i want to find out what wrinkle creams work can anyone reccomend any and the price ,. wil aprreciate it. i have heard of caracol cream and also of dermapril-sp has anyone tried these?

Girl Talk answers:

Try Artistry Time Defiance. I’m not sure exactly what you’re looking for, if a set (cleanser, toner, day/night cream) or a single product but Time Defiance is a great anti aging line. You can get more info here: http://www.youngeractingskin.com/ on the complete sets offered or here: http://aorihuela.qbeautyzone.com/ if you’d like more general info, you can also contact me for any questions! : )

Donald asks…

What is the average age when women start using anti-wrinkle creams?

I know this question doesn’t have an exact answer because the case is different for each woman, or a woman may not choose to use anti-wrinkle creams at all. But what is your estimation when the average woman starts to use wrinkle creams?

Girl Talk answers:

My mom looks younger than I do. She is 56. I am 38. She always used cream (so did her mom) . Late 20′s is when we all started the morning cream and nightly cream regimin. Dont get into all that hype about expensive creams. Affordable creams work just as well!!

What physical things could I draw for ‘human aging’?

As in, things i can put down infront of myself and draw…
Ideas so far: anti wrinkle cream, elderly faces/hands
Please help and thankyou in advance :)

Girl Talk answers:

An old man holding his grandson
a young person looking in the mirror and seeing themselves as an older person
a walking cane and a skipping rope
and baby’s hand clutching an elderly finger
a close up of 2 eye areas – one of an elderly person (wrinkled, deteriorating etc) and one of a child (round smooth skin etc)

A good Face Cream for a Guy? Avon…etc?

My husband is picky. He doesn’t want anything too “girly” too “greasy”, “to lotion-y” trust me I can’t even get him to moisturize his hands!

I think he may like the Avon’s Advanced All-in-one in the jar

any other suggestions? I’d like it to “moisturize” him as well as maybe slough his skin or something like that (anti-aging). Not expensive, either.

Girl Talk answers:

I use Kiss My Face it’s really good and a little goes a long way

Donald asks…

Can general moisturizers be used on the face? (some)?

Lets say one like this, Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion

http://www.cetaphil.com/Products/Moistur…

I don’t want to pay a lot of money for a little tub that comes with grandiose anti-aging claims (Estee Lauder et al). I have read a bit about the subject and have some experience, I understand some are lighter than others – hand creams being particularly thick. Am I right to presume if it’s light and non-irritating (Cetaphil) then you can put it on your face? Unfortunately these more general moisturizers often don’t specially tell you that they can/cannot be put on the face. Is there any specific criteria that makes a moisturizer appropriate for face use? Do you use generals on your face?
I am male but aren’t a big fan of the male cosmetic lines as the main reason they exist is so stupid homophobic men can safely indulge in skin care without placing themselves in a product section which is predominantly the domain of ladies.

Girl Talk answers:

I use cetaphil on my face, and it works great.

Daniel asks…

Anti-Wrinkles?

Uh, I’m only 15 years old but I already got kinda wrinkles on my forehead and my hands. The one’s on my forehead isn’t like those supervisible ones, but like if you look a bit closer, you can see them. My wrinkles come from the fact that I lost like…10ish pounds from last year… at least that’s what my friends and mom told me.

Is there any creams for anti-wrinkle? I don’t want to use any random one because it might mess up my skin, since anti-wrinkle creams aren’t usually for my age group…

(BTW, I was about 115ish last year, and now I’m 103…Height: 5’2. Just in case, y’all thought I was obese or anorexic…I’m normal.)
But uhm…I don’t know how to reply to the answers…><

Uh…I get tanned a lot from the sun. But I'd rather die then go to a tanning salon or something. But thanks. I'll stay outta the sun…it'll be hard though. I'm an outside person.

Girl Talk answers:

I hate to disagree with your friends and Mom, but I don’t think those wrinkles are caused from weight loss. I am also 5’2″ – have gained and lost 10 lbs on more than a few occasions. This sounds like ultra-violet damage to me. Either tanning salon or sun damage, especially if you are by nature a relatively fair-skinned person (like myself).
My advice, stay out of the sun and away from tanning beds as much as possible. If you must go out, make certain that use use a GOOD sunscreen (30 SPF). If you feel you must tan in salons (I strongly discourage this), then at least use a bed that allows you to turn off the face feature.
If tanning is an issue for you, please consider some of the self-tanners. There are some excellent ones on the market now that don’t turn you orange, just make sure you use one suit for your skin tone (I like Neutrogena). By that I mean don’t try to go from fair to dark overnight or you’ll get that “broange” color that looks so fake.
Now to answer your original question – I like Oil of Olay. It’s relatively cheap and works as good as any high dollar moisturizer I’ve found in High end stores.
Hope this helps.

I wouldn’t expect big changes from creams. They can only give a boost, but not change the structure of your skin. But you’re lovely the way you are. Your beauty is your confidence and your compassion to help those in need. With that, you can smile with all the wrinkles in the world and still know that you are beautiful! : )

Richard asks…

What is a good wrinkle cream to use?

I am 20 years old and I have wrinkles under my eyes. I apply moisterizer at night only and I don’t wear makeup. What is a good wrinkle cream to use? Are there any ingredients I should look for?

Girl Talk answers:

You can try this. Dip a cotton pad in unbeaten egg white, and smooth it across wrinkles. Leave it on for an hour and remove it with a cotton dipped in ice-cold water. Check out http://useinfo-wrinkles.blogspot.com/ for more useful info.

Helen asks…

Does wearing wrinkle cream at a young age prevent wrinkles in the future?

Im 18 and I once heard that if you start wearing wrinkle cream/under eye cream at this age, it will prevent them from forming in the future. sounds like it would make sense but I would like a bit of reassurance please!

Girl Talk answers:

Yes, of course. One of the causes of the appearance of wrinkles is the absence of hydration of the skin (this can be solved simply with a moisturizing cream). But the main cause is the collagen loss and the skin desestructuration which are only solved by proper creams and in long-term your skin will appreciate it.
Take a look at these site, it talks about it.

What is the best wrinkle cream you can use that is reasonably priced.?

I like Clinique but it’s a bit pricey…….Anyone know of a good wrinkle cream that is not quite as expensive?

Garnier’s Nutrioniste line works really well. It’s available at WALMART (gasp!) and most larger grocery stores. There’s also the Oil of Olay Regenerist line also available at the previously mentioned locations.

Reviews on Timeless Prescription Anti-Aging SkinCare?

Hi everyone, I have terrible acne, and my mom suggested me to use the Timeless Prescription Anti-Aging Skincare / Anti-Blemish Lotion. I’ve been using it, and it has reduced the redness and made it less noticeable. I went on its website and this is its description:

“Primary Benefits of Timeless Prescription® Anti-Blemish Lotion:

Helps reduce the appearance of pimples overnight
Calms redness of pimples
Reduces the appearance of swollen skin caused by pimples
What Makes Timeless Prescription® Anti-Blemish Lotion Unique?

Timeless Prescription® Anti-Blemish Lotion is an excellent overnight spot treatment for pimples. Timeless Prescription Anti-Blemish contains active ingredients, such as calamine and salicylic acid to calm reddened skin and reduce swelling associated with acne. ”

The thing is.. I want to entirely get rid of it, and get healthier skin, not just get reduce its appearance overnight. I can’t keep doing that you know?
Please give me your reviews of this product!!!

PS: I am a teenager.

It might help but there is no magic answer for acne. Acne requires a multi-faceted approach. If you have acne clean your skin gently, try not to touch your skin when your hands are not clean, and avoid the sun.

The three basics of acne treatment are to (1) unclog pores, (2) kill bacteria, and (3) minimize oil. Use mild exfoliating cleansers to unclog your pores. Use benzoyl peroxide to kill the bacteria. Get rid of oil on the surface of your skin by using a gentle toner. Generally drug store brands will do each of these things well. You don’t need to spend a fortune.

These are all good basic skin regimens that may help with the acne battle:

Cleanse twice daily with a 5% benzoyl peroxide wash. An alternative for those who are allergic to benzoyl peroxide is 2% salicylic acid.

Apply a gel or cream containing 5% benzoyl peroxide; an alternative is sulfur or resorcinol.

At night, apply a spot cream containing sulfur to the affected areas.

Use a light skin moisturizer and oil-free makeup.

If you try all these approaches and it still does not seem to work, it is time to consult your doctor. You may need a prescription medication approach to deal with your acne.

And read the information at these sites. You may find other ideas that will help you.

Clinique Dewy Smooth Anti Aging Foundation?

I want a foundation that gives that dewy look and clinque is the one brand that doesnt breakout my skin! I looked at reviews on this product but there all from ages 25 and older! Haha im only 16, so can i use this product? Anyone use it? Does it give the dewy look!? (:

Girl Talk answers:

That foundation in canada doesn’t have the anti aging in the title. But anyways, your never to young to start protecting your skin from aging, and wrinkles.
Seeing the title im pretty sure it should give you a dewy look, but i know for sure that SUPER MOISTURE MAKE UP foundation gives a very dewy finish since i did use it for a bit.
But yeah I don’t think you would have any problem using anti aging foundation, or that one. It should give you a dewy look and if it doesnt just return it, they have a really good return policy.
I love clinique foundations ;)

What is the best wrinkle cream for eyes and face?

I am 28 and have always had dry skin. I am looking for a really good product that I can maintain to prevent wrinkles… especially around my eyes and to help with the puffiness and darkness under my eyes. I already do the whole cucumber thing, so I just you guys to share what you use and what you recommend…. Thanks :)

Girl Talk answers:

It is everyone’s desire to keep their youthful and glowing skin intact and keep the unsightly furrows, wrinkles, lines and sagging skin at bay. With a little research, know-how, precaution and investing in a good skin care regimen, it is possible to delay both the intrinsic and extrinsic signs of aging with the best anti wrinkle cream. A few tips and an anti aging wrinkle cream will help you live a wrinkle-free life while you get to fall in love with your skin – again.

The good old sunscreen

Using a broad spectrum sunscreen that is suitable for your skin type and features an SPF of 15 to 30 is your best bet to keep photo aging at bay. The strong UV rays breakdown the skin’s defenses and the collagen which is the building protein of the skin. This makes the skin lose its ability to renew itself in a healthy pattern and leads to various maladies like lines, wrinkles, freckles, sun spots, pigmentation as well as skin cancer.

So remember to shield your skin from the sun and also equip yourself with shades, hats or umbrellas and wear protective clothing to ward off any premature aging symptoms and signs.

An ideal skin care and anti aging regimen

In order to extract the best out of your natural skin care, it is absolutely essential to prep your skin and make it ready for your products. For this, either a regular exfoliation at home or a microdermabrasion treatment at a clinic or spa is a good idea. While the former can be performed once or twice a week, the latter procedure should be performed by a trained professional.

The idea is to get rid of the dead skin cells that just sit on the dermal surface and give a dull and lifeless appearance. This also aids in the proper absorption of your anti-aging products.

Next, it is important to choose the products best suited for your skin type. Investing in a quality antioxidant serum or cream will help in combating free radicals which leads to premature aging. A quality anti aging wrinkle cream used in the right way can significantly delay the signs of aging.

All the best

Mary asks…

what’s the best wrinkle cream that really works?

I’ve tried everything from Roc products, L’Oreal, and just about any product you can think of that’s over the counter. Thing is, I don’t use them long enough to show any results. I need to know how long it’ll take before I see actual results that it’s working. Can you tell me something that actually works and how long before I see results?

Girl Talk answers:

You need to discover Arbonne. It is an all natural company. It is a little more expensive but is AMAZING. You could see results in less then a week. Honestly. The things you are using on your skin is really unhealthy. Whatever you do do not use anything that has sea salt in it all that does is make little scratches in your skin that will turn into wrinkles later on if you use a scrub make sure it is a walnut scrub.
